Family holiday of Chernivtsi residents takes place on the first weekend of October. In recent years the City Day has really become an excellent fiesta, when during a week festivals and carnivals, competitions and mass games, quizzes, contests, performances of brass bands and pop art studios are held in squares and streets of Chernivtsi.
